University strategies for social incubation of entrepreneurship from a solidarity and territorial approach: General and Pedagogical Foundations of a Replicable Proposal
This book describes systematization results of some Latin American university models of social incubation in the area of popular, social and solidarity economy (EPSS). It is a research product that integrate the INCUBEPSS project - “Platform for incubation of entrepreneurship and collaborative networks of popular, social and solidarity economy with a territorial approach”, developed by four universities (National University of Quilmes - Argentina, Cooperative University of Colombia, National Autonomous University of Nicaragua and Technological Institute of Costa Rica). The objective of this proposal is to strengthen the individual and collective capacities of EPSS actors and networks about the development of the economic, social and environmental sustainability of their ventures, through the design of an incubation platform and the implementation of a device for dialogue of knowledge and learning communities.
In this context, the research process was based on the survey of academic and territorial experiences from the participating Universities and the analysis and interpretation of the data that have emerged. This made it possible to identify approaches and methodologies related to specific university support in the area of incubation of EPSS processes and ventures. It also made it possible to recognize common elements in the design of selected learning strategies in such a way that viability hypotheses are derived about the favorable conditions for their development from the universities together with the communities.
Based on this, a training proposal has been consolidated that constitutes a baseline for the construction of a collaborative digital platform. This platform seeks to offer self-assisted courses facilitated by Universities and includes a strategy of selective support from specialized mentoring. The results of this general strategy will be evaluated later, to generate new knowledge.
Throughout the text, therefore, the focus of the EPSS on the experience of different university experiences is presented; the pedagogical perspective put into play in relation to incubation in the EPSS; the debates around the incubation of processes and ventures and the description of the specific device, as a proposal that includes these approaches and the methodologies developed in the area by the participating Universities.
