Ya (no) puedes volver is a collection of science fiction stories. Most of these tales take place in Bogotá and South Carolina, although others unfold in the Amazon, Detroit, New York, Mars, distant moons within our solar system, and even far-off galaxies. The first stories occur in the early twenty-first century, while the later ones take place in increasingly distant and uncanny futures.

These stories revolve around universal themes such as vengeance, justice, the idea of time, love, violence, the environment, intolerance, and hope. Some of the narratives draw on classic science-fiction devices like time travel and interstellar journeys, while others move away from these traditional tools to reflect on our relationship with technology from different fields and less explored perspectives.
