Institutionality and Climate Change in the Future of European and Latin American Integration

This is the first of three volumes of the Gridale collection that brings together several of the papers presented by Latin American and European scholars at a Symposium organized by Gridale and IELEPI at the University of Alcalá de Henares, Spain, in October 2022, to analyze the results of the Conference on the Future of Europe held for a year between 2012 and 2022 with the aim of providing opportunities for European citizens to suggest issues for the deepening of its integration process. This thirteenth volume presents the agenda developed during the Symposium and six chapters devoted to analyzing the first two of the seven themes considered at the Symposium. The first four deal with institutional issues of the functioning of the European integration process and some lessons to be learned by Latin American integration  processes, and the following two deal with  environmental policies in the EU, the Andean Community and Mexico’s treaty with the USA and Canada.
